It’s Miller time

Von miller was the 2nd Overall Draft Pick in 2011 by the Denver Broncos, Super Bowl MVP, and proud DeSoto alumni. Von recorded 2.5 sacks in the Super Bowl to lead the Denver Broncos to a 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. In the Early 1st quarter of the super bowl Von sprinted past right tackle Mike Remmers of the Panthers to strip sack and fumble the football which lead defensive end Malik Jackson to recover the ball and score in the end zone. Von contributed six tackles and forced a 2nd fumble with 4:04 left in the in the 4th quarter to allow the broncos to jump to a 24-10 win and seal the victory of Super Bowl 50.

Von played linebacker for the Eagles as number 40 and was coached by our very own coach Stansbury. Coach Stansbury was interview by WFAA Regarding what it felt like to watch his former athlete play in the Super Bowl he said “it was fun to watch” “You get excited. Your emotions are flying high. I caught myself hitting my chair a couple of times. Von was getting close to Cam and I thought he was going to sack him a couple more times.”. Von has eagle pride and has given back to the community he donated helmets to the football program 2 years ago. Von Graduated from DeSoto in 2007 and since, his football career has led him to become Super Bowl MVP and one of the greatest defense players to play the game.
