When given the chance to get a great meal for free, most would jump at the opportunity. Now all you have to do is take your seat when the tardy bell rings. DeSoto has partnered with Outback Steakhouse to help reward student attendance across the district. At the end of each grading period, every student who had perfect attendance will receive a special treat from the Desoto Outback Steakhouse.

“Desoto business partners are amazing and Outback Steakhouse is another example of community involvement impacting student learning,” Superintendent Dr. David Harris said. “By encouraging  student attendance every day, Outback helps promote the value of education. When students attend school every day, we see few gaps in learning.”

Students will get a coupon for a free appetizer from Outback, including the signature “Blooming Onion”, quesadillas, wings, and much more. The offer will be good through the end of the next grading period which will be printed on the coupon. Any necessary date exclusions will also be included.
